The second phase of Corona vaccination in the country will start from 1 March. Vaccination will be done in 10 thousand government centers and 20 thousand private hospitals. There will be vaccination of sick people above 40 years and all people above 60 years. If the people of this age group go to government centers, then the vaccine will be free for them, but in private hospitals they will have to pay for it.

Decision on vaccination fees in private hospitals in 3-4 days

Javadekar said that these vaccinations will be free at government centers, but those who want to get vaccinated in private hospitals will have to pay a charge. In the next 3-4 days, the Ministry of Health will decide on how much fees will have to be paid for vaccination in private hospitals. The Ministry of Health is talking to manufacturers and hospitals in this regard.

India ranked 5th in total vaccination

Many countries around the world, especially China, started vaccination in June last year and Russia in August. At the same time, the vaccine started in December in most countries including America, Britain. Vaccination began on 16 January in India. Even after this, it has caught pace. As of 22 February, 21 crore people worldwide have been vaccinated. Maximum 6.41 crore people are vaccinated in America. After this, 4.05 crore in China, 2.7 crore in European Union, 1.8 crore in UK and 1.19 crore in India have been vaccinated.

There are a total of 3 crore health-frontline workers in the country, while vaccines have been found to be only 1.17 crore. The central government had targeted to vaccinate all workers by the end of February. It has been extended to March. This goal is also far away, because at present twenty-five million health-frontline workers have not been able to get even a single dose of vaccine.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that vaccines are being installed in 10,000 hospitals every day. There are 2 thousand private hospitals in them. In the coming days, the number of private hospitals will be increased to accelerate vaccination. 27 crore people over 50 years old are ready to start vaccinating in mid-March. The number of vaccination centers will be increased from 10 thousand to 50 thousand.

Also a relief… now deaths are not increasing

After 7 February in India, the average daily deaths from Corona have remained below 100. There are an average of 6,500 deaths a day worldwide. That is, only 1.6% of the world's total deaths are occurring in India.
