Centre stands for rural development, Welfare of farmers, says Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. On the day 6 of budget session in Rajya Sabha on Friday, Union Minister Tomar said that the Narendra Modi Government stands for the welfare of farmers and has done several things for India's rural development. These efforts were apparent during the Covid-19 pandemic, he added.
Several opposition party members highlighted the lack of progress in the ongoing farmers agitation in the national capital. Expressing concern over the situation at Delhi borders.
BSP MP's, Satish Mishra said that the cutting of water and electricity supply at protest sites is a human right violation. Similarly, Shiv Sena MP's Sanjay Raut said that there have been attempts to defame the Farmer's protest by the Centre. MP's from 10 opposition parties on Thursday wrote a letter to Lok sabha speaker Om Birla saying that the situation at Ghajipur border was like that of India - Pakistan border and condition of farmers resembles prisoners in jail.
